5 WEEKS TO GO!

Hello Neighbours,

On Behalf of Woodside Circle, I will like to warmly invite you to the 2nd Big Lunch happening on 3/7/11 at 3-5pm.

As you know, the previous event was well attended with over 70 neighbours, and a lot of us have continued to be in touch since. Currently we are hoping to make this an annual event.

Other actions involve ordering Rock Salt for the snow as this was very well received and appreciated.

So Far

• Barnet Council has given permission for us to use the Green at the end of Michleham Down.
  • In the future, if we have our event on the allocated National date, Barnet Council will provide Public Liability insurance free for all BIG Lunches in Barnet. Something to bear in mind for next year!
• I have also invited the Fire Service to give a safety demonstration (no confirmation yet that they would attend) hopefully with a fire truck!
• PC Caswell, of The Totteridge Safer Neighbourhood team, has confirmed he would be attending the event to give us some tips on safety and security
• Oh almost forgot, Demetrio, the lovely ice cream van man has agreed to support our event and will be coming from 430 to 5pm.

We will need music on the Green and I can provide a Music System if we can’t find a “DJ” in the neighbourhood, though rumours tell me we do have one available on our road!

Do come along again to support the event, exchange ideas and meet your neighbours.

We have a lot of rich cultures on our road, so come and taste the cuisine too and support your community where you can.

We are almost there… all we need now is lovely warm, dry weather!
